RitikaWhile making the rug, Pariwas helped by her daughter Pinki. They used to sit together in the afternoons to discuss the design patterns. Pariis very fond of her children. The ‘M’ and ‘R’ letters in the design represent the initials of her two children-Mahesh and Ritika. She created a mirror image on the other side to maintain the symmetry. The rug has 2 ‘diyas’-the traditional lamps that adorn the interiors of her house. She love to have guests at their home, which she symbolizes by writing ‘Welcome’ at the top of the rug. In the center, there is a huge flower, which she finds in her backyard. It took her 1 month to make the rug. She named the rug ‘Ritika’ after her daughter, who is the most loved person in her family.
