Bhagchand and Parvati are husband and wife. They have been weaving beautiful rugs together since more than a decade. Rug weaving is their favorite activity that they love to pursue together. Parvati learnt how to weave rugs soon after she got married. After seeing his wife’s zeal and enthusiasm, Bhagchand also decided to join her. Over the years, this couple has woven some of the most beautiful rugs together in their native village, Kadeda.
Mandir ki Deewar
The village temple which is known as “Mandir” is Bhagchand’s favorite place to visit, in the entire village. Every morning, Bhagchand and Parvati visit the temple together to pray and spend some time amidst nature near the temple wall. This wall formed the prime inspiration behind the design of this rug. Colorful and filled with a variety of contrasting patterns, the weavers tried to incorporate this pattern into the rug that they have woven, hence the name, “Mandir ki Deewar.”
