As part of the JAIPUR Rugs Group , JAIPUR Foundation (JRF) is the non-profit organization that catalyzes sustainable livelihoods for rural poor to become artisans engaged in the rug value chain. JRF

empowers artisans to establish community level enterprises thoroug enhancing artisanal and business skills. JRF is currently associated with more than 40,000 artisans.

THE STORY:
In 1978 Mr. N.K Chaudhary, Chairman of JAIPUR Rugs,initiated his carpet business operations with just two rooms and 9 artisans. Today, it has converted into a network of 40,000 artisan spread across 600 villages of India.

Departing from the belief that there is an enormous artisan power in India, he decided to form a company where Indian´s potential could be shown to the world while refining the weaving techniques and lives of the artisans.

After years of diligence and hard work, JAIPUR is recognized as a front runner in the handmade carpet business,selling to more than 40 countries across the globe.Headquartered in Jairpur , India, and an iternational office in Atlanta,USA,JAIPUR is determina to pursue a business practice that does not only manufacture gorgeous, luxurious carpets but one that helps its artisans hone their skills ina secure environnment.

JAIPUR presents a choice of over 40 technical variants of rugs, woven with the finest yarns from across the world including silk.wool, cotton,jute, hemp etc. The company has also partnede with renowned international designers including Jenny Jones, Chase Dacoda and Raymond Gaites.
