Jaipur Rugs' weaver-turned-designer couple Parvati Devi and Bhagchand won the ‘European Product Design Award’ in the year 2019, for their rug which they named Sawan ka Leheriya. Sawan ka leheriya in hindi means the colours from monsoon. This rug was awarded the bronze award in the home interior products, textiles and floor coverings category of the prestigious European Product Design Awards held in Germany. The design emerged as the winner against competing entries from 60 countries. Jaipur Rugs Company Pvt ltd bags EPDA award second time in a row.
